Minimal illustration
When I started work on this it was meant to be an exploration of Neumorphism but as any explorative project, this took a direction of its own.
Neumorphism is a form of minimalism characterized by a soft and light look, often using pastel colours with low contrast. Elements are usually the same colour as the background and are only distinguished by shadows and highlights surrounding the element.
This project isn’t quite the same thing but the use of gradients follows a similar logic. The major difference is made by how I use the background or the lack of it.
MY ROLE: Graphic Designer, Art Direction
In motion
As I finished the illustrations, I realised they would translate well into a dynamic video format, making the content more engaging for social media. By animating the illustrations, I aimed to showcase practical motion skills. The focus being on the actual motion fluidity, transitions from one scene to another and precompositing.
